Damage Prevention

At SOL Fiber damage prevention is an upmost priority, that is why we handle all our utility locates internally. Prevention of damage of our outside plant eliminates lengthy and costly outages and your network uptime climbs, and our operating expenses remain low hence our competitively priced services and more reinvested in expanding our network. When excavators are working within 50 feet of our infrastructure, we require one of our damage prevention specialists to be onsite to ensure hydro excavation is used to daylight our fiber and show a 12-inch separation between our fiber and other utilities. To ensure due diligence we install marker posts at a maximum of 500 feet of separation and at every vault and ROW boundry crossings.
