Find answers to common questions about our services

We own almost all of our infrastructure, excluding a fine amount of infrastructure that we have done fiber swaps with, due to Right-of-Way congestion or DOT dig once policies that prevent us from overbuilding.
We have an internal infrastructure construction and maintenance team who self-performs 99% of our builds and line extensions to ensure quality while controlling overages.
No; we strictly offer conduit, dark fiber, and optical transport. However, we do partner with several tier 1 carriers to ensure organizations who need DIA are able to get it via our points of presence. Our optical transport is even better than traditional ethernet transport, since less hardware is involved. It is also less likely to fail, not to mention it is the speed of light verses the speed of electrons, so it has immeasurable latency.
No, but when our routes traverse an area with a higher density of homes or businesses, we try our best to partner with a local ISP to ensure that those communities are not left behind.
There are many ways, such as selling them our standard services. We also allow them to co-locate on the rooftops of our ILA Facilities, plus--when applicable--we love to provide ISPs conduit in dense areas, nearly at cost, to service the community to ensure everyone has access to fast and reliable internet.
That is an ILA (In-Line Amplifier) site. They are placed approximately every 50 miles (80KM) along our fiber route to amplify the light being transported down our fiber optic cables. These facilities are high security because the United States Department of Homeland Security classifies these sites as critical infrastructure. Thus, they must be protected from acts of terrorism, vandalism, and any other malicious activity.
